NEXT BUS TO HEAVEN

You know it's going to be a good trip when the first roadside camp looks this spectacular. In 2009 I and fifteen or so fellow high-schoolers camped around Australia (from Perth to Darwin to Adelaide and back to Perth) to race our school-built solar-car in the "World Solar Challenge". It was FANTASTIC; I found out so much about independence on this trip and will eternally bow down to the awesome teachers who had the dedication to cart a bunch of rowdy and most definitely stinky teens around in a clunky tour bus for three weeks. Also, all the pictures I took on this trip are from the before-Fujifilm era of my life; I had a little Kodak Easyshare model for the duration. It was SO GOOD. It took amazing landscape shots - never underestimate the cheap digital cameras; they can be awesome, as this one was.
