Lonely Avenue

This photo is one I took in the fading light at Versailles (France) as we dashed off to catch the bus back to the hotel. It isn't centralised properly, it's grainy and the colours are all funny - but something about it really appeals to me. It just looks so calm and soft, like Versailles actually felt - that is, if you go there early before everyone else arrives! There are some truly spectacular gardens in Versailles, but I like the atmospheric quality of this view.
