Pathway to a Palace

We were lucky enough on our Parisian trip to be able to venture out on a day-tour to two beautiful chateaus - Vaux les Vicomte (my favourite) and the no less worthy Fontainbleau, pictured above. If you have the chance, these two spots are well worth a trip, and the day-tour meant we didn't have to organise a car to get there and had ample time to view each place in detail. We booked our trip while in Paris, so you can basically see if you have time and if you do, have a bonus day of spectacular architecture and gardens!
We were lucky enough on our Parisian trip to be able to venture out on a day-tour to two beautiful chateaus – Vaux les Vicomte (my favourite only because GARDENS) and the no less worthy Fontainebleau, pictured above. If you have the chance, these two spots are well worth a trip, and the day-tour we went on meant we didn’t have to organise a car to get there and had ample time to view each place in detail. We booked our trip while in Paris when we had already had a few days to gauge how much activity we felt we could manage. If you have time/energy, book one of these trips and you can have a bonus day of spectacular architecture and gardens!

Fontainebleau had such a glorious interior that I can’t cover it all in one post, so in the following few days I will be sharing with you my favourite photos of the chateau with a little gallery of images depicting the inside of the building! IT WAS BOOTIFUL.
