This week’s theme is…..GREEN! A beautiful, soothing colour – reds and and blues tend to show their faces more often in Australia, so I value a good green very highly! Enjoy these past shots from my photographic adventures that take that colour and let it shine 😀
Chickens are such odd looking things – these ones were wandering around the gardens at Versailles in France – a quintessentially European scene if ever I saw one!
These quokkas are so friendly, it was hard to resist patting them…or smuggling one back to be my own pet!
These tiny little cicadas live all over the reeds on the shore of the Swan River – I managed to zoom in super close on this one!
Almost five years ago now, my family and I had a blissful holiday in Albany (Western Australia). We stayed in a house next to Lake Seppings which was surrounded by a walking trail – the part depicted here was magical for the fact that huge quantities of white butterflies fluttered around the blooming nasturtiums. I posted a picture of this space a long while back, but on finding this one was enchanted again by the memory! Albany is wonderful during the summer months – much milder weather and gorgeous beaches!
I took this on a round-Australia-roadside-camping-trip run by the Science extension program at my High-school. I used my now defunct but pretty good for its time Kodak Easyshare – no zoom whatsoever, and it still managed to focus this close. I loved that little cheapy camera, I even named it – R.I.P. KODEEZY, I NEVER MEANT TO DROP YOU ON THE BEACH AND RUIN YOUR LENS FUNCTION FOREVER.
