Magical Moods

Many of England’s churches are for good reason world-renowned as exemplary architectural feats. My family and I visited on one of our days exploring the surrounding countryside of Oxford the following gem of a place: Salisbury Cathedral was a fantastic structure with a serene feeling to it that you cannot capture in an image – however the clean lines of the gorgeous covered cloister were somewhat more translatable!

The light was perfect, casting just the right shadows to enhance the mood! It really did feel like we had stepped into another time here, with almost noone around for much of our exploring.

I loved this cathedral, and while it is not quite as magnificent as Gloucester Cathedral (which we visited on another day) it was so atmospheric that I would return if I ever got to go back to this corner of England again 😀
